The Lebanon Valley Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will be awarding monetary scholarships (exact amount to be determined).

2008 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The following application is for a scholarship from the Lebanon Valley Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Individuals who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Return completed applications by March 1, 2008, to Mary Maika, 203 E. CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

1. Available to any resident of Lebanon County.
2. Available to students attending any course of higher education, including four year college, Junior college, trade school, or technical school beyond high school
3. Applicant must have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Please include a transcript with application.
4. Applicant must obtain and supply a letter of reference from a guidance counselor or teacher. Or, if out of school for more than four years, a letter of reference from your employer.
5. Scholarship does not automatically renew; it is a one-time award. Applicant may re-apply each year.
6. Applicants must include a paragraph or two stating why they should be the scholarship winner.
7. Checks are made payable to the recipient and to the educational institution.
8. Applications will be reviewed and semi-finalists will be determined by the Education committee. An interview may be arranged for those candidates selected to be presented for a vote by the chapter membership at the April meeting. Scholarships will be awarded during our June meeting.
9. Scholarship money may be used for tuition, books and fees.
